Membership

Membership of Settle Anglers is limited to around 150. At present there is a waiting list but members do retire and positions become available.

Settle Anglers control approximately

  • 5 miles of mainly double bank water on the Ribble around the Settle area
  • 1.5 miles double bank water at Halton West on the Arnford Estate
  • 3 miles of the River Wenning much of which is double bank.

We also have the large still-water at Winterburn which is providing great sport with brown trout and is in a wild location on the moors.

We mainly fish for brown trout and grayling but each year a number of salmon are caught depending on the amount of water.

There is a £270 non returnable entrance fee and this year (2026) the annual subscription is £170.
