Waterhen Bloa
A classic North Country Spider. When wet the yellow silk and mole fur combine to give the body an olive cast. The mole also moves in the water like the gills along the side of a small insect.
Thread – Pearsall’s Yellow no. 4 waxed with cobblers wax to an olive tone
Hook – 14-16
Dubbing – water rat or mole fur as sparse as your mother-in-law’s beard
Hackle – Waterhen underwing coverts
